The Coastline Hotel in Malta, a 208-room, four-star hotel, was the first in Island Hotels Group portfolio. It remains among its most highly praised on account of its quality of service and warmth of welcome. The Coastline Hotel Malta is also one of the group’s most popular properties, welcoming some 30 per cent of its guests as repeat clientele.  The hotel is located in a prime coastal site, to Malta's North, near Salina Bay, and offers a quiet, yet convenient location ideally suited to serving the group leisure, which is its main market. 

The Coastline marks a milestone in the evolution of Island Hotels as it was the group's first fully-owned hotel when it opened in 1994. Since then, the hotel has proved to be a consistent and firm favourite among leading travel and tour operators. It has garnered several industry awards over the past decade, most recently gaining the online travel advisory site Trip Advisor’s prestigious ‘Certificate of Excellence’, 2011, for the consistent and excellent ratings the hotel receives.  Coastline’s team, both as a body and individuals, has also won awards in recent years, with several personnel gaining special recognition under the Malta Tourism Authority's award scheme. 

Today, The Coastline is devoted to catering to the upscale group leisure market on full-board, all-inclusive stays. Since 2008, it has been serving Saga, a leading UK operator in the seniors’ travel sector and with whom it has an exclusive contract. The Coastline has registered the highest level of customer satisfaction within the worldwide Saga programme. Its proven commitment to Saga is enabling the Group to enhance its relationship with the British operator. In addition, the Coastline is now welcoming leisure groups from continental Europe.
